Officials beaten up

Sambalpur: Two officials of the Odisha State Pollution Control Board, Chandra Sekhar Chowhan and Debidutta Mohanty, were allegedly assaulted by the villagers of Tilia in Jharsuguda district on Friday. Their vehicle was also set on fire. They were visiting the proposed ash pond site of IB Thermal Power Station.

Thieves held

Bhubaneswar: GRP on Friday arrested four persons, including three juveniles, for being involved in a theft. The cops seized gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh and $200.
