Social media experts on Arunachal sojourn

Nine bloggers, vloggers and social media influencers from across the globe embarked on 21-day tour of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday to promote the state as the new tourism hub of the country.

Itanagar: Nine bloggers, vloggers and social media influencers from across the globe embarked on 21-day tour of Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday to promote the state as the new tourism hub of the country.

An initiative of the Arunachal Pioneer Public Relations and Advertising Agency and department of tourism, government of Arunachal Pradesh, the first edition of the tour titled, The Arunachal Odyssey, would see the team start their expedition from Itanagar, after which they will head towards Tawang to attend the Tawang Festival which kicks off from Thursday.

The Arunachal Odyssey will travel through the western and central parts of the state like Seppa, Sagalee, Ziro, Basar and Pasighat before completing its journey at Namsai on November 13.

The Arunachal Odyssey line-up includes Alejandro Chacon (Texas), Ariel Sophia Bardi (Washington), Chloe Sterk (Amsterdam), Ritesh Uttamchandani (Mumbai), Neelima Vallangi (Hyderabad), Zahra Amiruddin (Mumbai), Deepti Asthana (Mumbai), Shubham Mansingka (Jaipur), Millo Ankha (Aru-nachal Pradesh) and video documentary member Pratidhani Tamang (Bangalore).

"We have invited the best and popular online personalities, who will promote Arunachal's tourism as they travel across the state for the next three weeks," an official of the agency said.
