ACA meeting

Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association, BCCI’s East Zone convenor, will hold a zonal junior selection committee meeting here on February 5 to select the junior players for the National Cricket Academy. Players in the under-19 and under-16 age groups will be picked up for the NCA.

Tennis camp

Guwahati: The All Assam Tennis Association will organise a 10-day advanced tennis coaching camp for players of the state at its Chachal Tennis Complex here from Sunday. National coach Kanwaljeet Singh will train the players.

Volleyball

Guwahati: Guwahati Volleyball Coaching Centre annexed the 3rd G.R. Cup invitation volleyball tournament title defeating Dispur Volleyball Club 3-0 in the final played on Thursday evening at the Gauhati Refinery Sector II ground.

TTFI officials

Guwahati: Arjuna awardee Monalisa Baruah Mehta and former paddler Tridib Duvarah of Assam have been elected as vice-president and joint secretary respectively for a term of four years each of the Table Tennis Federation of India. Assam Table Tennis Association ad hoc executive body chairman Birendra Nath Baishya has also been elected as chairman of the TTFI.
