Shooting silver for Assam

Guwahati: Assam Valley School girls Melanie Pariat, Snehankita Borah and Anusikha Paul bagged a silver for Assam in the 10-metre air pistol team event in the Kumar Surendra Singh All-India inter-school shooting championship at Faridabad on Monday. The trio are Class XI students.

Guwahati: Assam youngster Rajiv Boro is part of the Indian under-19 football team, which is on an exposure tour to China since Friday. Another Assam boy, Halicharan Narzary, is attending the national under-21 team coaching camp in Goa.
