Imphal, Nov. 22: Public Club archers shot their way to the gold in the sub-junior team event of the 25th State Archery Championship at ESU Ground, Wangkhei.
The Public archers, comprising A. Bandana, M. Abem and S. Robita, found their mark, collecting 1,868 points for the gold.
National Sports Academy bagged the silver with I. Julie, K. Pushabati, M. Puspa and K. Jashmita, scoring 1,759 points.
The Grace Archery Centre trio of L. Omila, G. Papashika and G. Renuka bagged the bronze with 1,739 points.
As for the boys’ team event, South Imphal Cultural Association won the gold with 2,020 points while Yaiskul Athletic Club collected the silver with 1,956 points.
National Sports Academy fetched the bronze with 1,889 points.
O. Naobi Devi also delivered three gold medals for South Imphal Cultural Association in the Indian round.
In the 30-metre sub-junior girls’ Indian round, O. Naobi grabbed her first gold with 328 points while M. Abem of Public Club fetched the silver with 320 points and Ch. Debiya of South Imphal team won the bronze with 319 points.
Naobi Devi came up with her second gold in the 20-metre event with 334 points. Compatriot Ch. Debiya took the silver with 329 points and G. Tapashika of Grace Archery Centre fetched the bronze with 319 points.
In the individual event, O. Naobi yet again shot her way to the gold, picking up 662 points. Ch. Debiya grabbed the silver with 648 points and M. Abem of Public Club fetched the bronze with 627 points.
