The anchalik committees of Biswanath Chariali and Na Duar of All Bodo Students’ Union organised a career and personality development programme for youths.
The programme at Chatia College in Sonitpur district was inaugurated on August 16 by Absu president Pramod Boro. The programme was moderated by the president of Absu’s Sonitpur unit, Chunilal Basumatary.
Sangrang Brahma and J.D.H. Basumatary of the Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar and Ranjan K. Baruah, a youth activist from Guwahati, participated as resource persons. They discussed threadbare various methods to select careers and ways to collect information from diverse sources.
“I am eager to appear for the APSC examination but whenever I hear about the anomalies and corruption within the department, I feel frustrated,” Mijingsha Basumatary, a student who wants to appear in the state’s civil service examinations, said.
While urging the students not to lose hope and write the examination with confidence, Baruah explained how the Right to Information Act helps one review answerscripts after a test conducted by any government in the country.
Boro appealed to the youths to help build a good society through constructive work. Laying emphasis on farming and other agricultural activities, he said that a great deal can be done for the economic uplift of the individual and society.
