NDFB questions Centre’s efforts

KOKRAJHAR: The National Democratic Front of Boroland has once again questioned the sincerity of the Centre in finding a peaceful solution to the Bodo problem. NDFB chief Ranjan Daimary alias D.R. Nabla in a statement alleged that the Centre was not taking any initiative to carry forward the peace process with the outfit.

The NDFB has declared the ceasefire to hold talks with the government to resolve the conflict peacefully and democratically. But in the past two years instead of holding formal political talks, the Indian government insisted on only extending the ceasefire. It is just a futile exercise on the part of the Indian government. Mere extension of ceasefire cannot go on for an indefinite period,” he said.
