Guwahati: The first 3D mobile and computer game based on an Assamese film is set to hit the market soon.

The game, developed by three youths from Sivasagar district in Upper Assam, is based on characters from the recently-released Zubeen Garg-produced and starred Mission China which broke box-office records.

Anshuman Gogoi, a bachelor of computer application student from Sibsagar Commerce College along with his two classmates - Ankurjyoti Hatiboruah and Deepjyoti Konwar - said the game will be released in February.

"The idea of the game was conceived when Mission China got an overwhelming response when it was released in September. Zubeenda also agreed to provide all kinds of help to develop the game when I approached him a few days ago," Anshuman told The Telegraph.

"It will be a fully cinematic game with shippable film scenes where the main character will be Colonel Goswami, which was played by Zubeen da Garg. In the game, a single user can play multiple characters. Initially, it will have eight characters, of which six have been taken from the film and another two - Yankee and Dr Garima - have been included by us."

Anshuman said the game will be available on Google Play app for free.
