June 29: A hat-trick from Milon Basumatary helped Shillong Lajong Football Club Academy blank Gauhati Town Club, Guwahati, 4-0 in a group league match of the eighth Bodousa Cup Football Tournament at Nehru Stadium here today, reports our Guwahati correspondent.
The Lajong boys dominated the field since the kick-off and Milon shot in the first goal in the 23rd minute. The next goal from Milon came in the 53rd minute.
Redeem Tlung shot in the third goal in the 72nd minute. Milon chipped in three minutes with another goal.
In Tinsukia, Oil India Football Club, Duliajan, rode a hattrick by Nobin Rabha to tame Makum United Football Club 5-0 in a group match at TDSA stadium in Tinsukia, ourDibrugarh correspondent reports.
Oil India FC opened the account through striker Manash Manjit Chetia in the 11thminute. Nobin Rabha struck for the second goal in the 28thminute before he dealt a double blow in the 41stand 47thminutes to complete his hattrick. Right-winger Minto Boro pumped in the fifth goal in the 65thminute.
