Imphal, March 25: Kangchup Road Youth Physical Sporting Association thrashed SSC Sekta by 12-0 goals in the 10th Soraisam Ronika Memorial Junior Girls' State-Level Football Tournament on artificial turf, Khuman Lampak sports complex.

This is Kangchup Road's second straight win in the league after they beat AMMA Andro in their first encounter. SSC Sekta continued their poor outing as they took on Kangchup Road, with the latter hammering in six goals in the first half. N. Ratanbala Devi scored four goals for them while W. Ranjibala Devi, Y. Hemolata Devi and Premi Chiru netted two goals each. H. Sunita Devi and Rk. Janakibala also chipped in with a goal each for the victory.

In another match, NIVSO Keibi drubbed AMMA Andro by 6-0 goals.

Awards

The ministry of youth affairs and sports is inviting applications from sportspersons and coaches for the Dhyanchand Award for lifetime achievement in sports, apart from Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, 2015, Arjuna Award, 2015 and Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Purushkar, 2015, by April 30.
