Guwahati, Jan. 29: For wannabe techies of the Northeast, the Guwahati Mega Job Fair that gets under way tomorrow at Gauhati Commerce College here is the place to be.

The two-day fair, presented by The Telegraph Jobs & Shine.com and powered by the State Bank of India, is first-of-its-kind the city is going to experience.

Dell Technologies, Wipro BPS, Vinheet Technologies, Camellias Vintrade, George Telegraph, IMS Business School, Red FM and State Bank of India are among the several companies taking part in the fair.

Among the jobs on offer are posts of web designer, web developer, international CRS, iOS developer, software developer, on-the-job trainee, app developer and many more.

'We have more than 12 companies recruiting for over 300 profiles. We are expecting more than 4,000 candidates to turn up at the fair. We hope all our recruiters will be able to absorb loads of candidates at the job fair. We request candidates to walk in at the fair for a great chance to move up in their career,' Shine.com business head Zairus Master said.

'All the candidates who are in their final year or have passed out in the last session are invited to be a part of the job fair,' he said. Candidates will be able to participate in the recruitment processes from 10am till 5pm.

'An on ground job fair always gives the candidates various options in a single day. Platforms like these compliment our print and online offerings and help a candidate and a recruiter to expedite the recruitment process,' Master said.

Shine.com started the association with The Telegraph in 2013 and since then the latter has been a strategic partner.
