Dhubri, May 9: Jain Jinendra Yuva Mondal defeated Brahmin Warriors by six runs in the Yuva Premier League match organised by Dhubri Marwari Yuva Manch at Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah Maidan here today.

In the second match, Agarwal Fighters defeated Agarwal Royals by 10 wickets.

Winning the toss, Brahmin Warriors opted to field. Jain Jinendra Yuva Mondal put to bat scored 97 losing six wickets in 16 overs with a top score of 32 off 36 balls by Ashok Jain. Medium pacer Om Prakash Sharma of Brahmin Warriors scalped four wickets giving away 18 runs in four overs. Chasing 98 runs, Brahmin Warriors fell short by six runs to register a win. Warriors scored 91 losing seven wickets in the stipulated 16 overs with a top score of 28 runs off 47 balls by opener Raja Ram Sharma. Medium pacer Amit Jain of Jain Jinendra Yuva Mandal scalped three wickets giving away 24 runs in four overs. He was declared Man of the Match.

In the second match, Agarwal Fighters opted to field. Agarwal Royals, put to bat scored 127 runs losing eight wickets in 16 overs.

Bishal Khetawat of Royals scored 30 off 16 balls. Medium pacer Anurag Killa of Agarwal Fighter scalped four wickets giving away 41 runs in 4 over.

Chasing 128 runs, Agarwal Fighters scored 131 runs without losing a wicket in just 7.4 overs. Opener Rohit Tatia hit a ton off 31 balls while Bishal Harlalka scored 18 runs off 14 balls. Rohit Tatia was declared Man of the Match.

In tomorrow’s match, Agarwal Fighters will take on Jain Jinendra Yuva Mondal.
