Shillong, May 18: Schools in the state capital showed impressive results in the ICSE and ISC examinations.
Sauvik Shome of St Edmund's School emerged as the topper from among students of at least five city schools who appeared for the ICSE examinations.
Shome secured 94.8 per cent with distinction in all subjects.
At least 108 students had appeared for the ICSE examinations from St Edmund's School this year and 107 of them were awarded with pass certificates.
Pine Mount School secured a cent per cent result both in the ICSE and ISC examinations.
Altogether 82 students appeared for the ICSE and 54 for the ISC examinations.
Eshani Nandy, with 94.2 per cent, emerged as the topper in the ICSE.
Jobeth Zorempuii Tochhwang with 92.75 per cent and Mebetsaphi Nonglait with 91.25 per cent topped the ISC (humanities) and ISC (science), respectively.
Loreto Convent also secured a cent per cent result. All 78 candidates in the ICSE examinations secured a pass certificate.
Ibashisha Amanda Marbaniang with 92.8 per cent topped the school.
Similarly, Meghalaya Police Public School saw all its 43 students in the ICSE examinations securing pass certificates, and Goldie Varina Kurbah, who secured 90.8 per cent, topped the school.
Shillong Public School, however, recorded a pass percentage of 76.49 per cent as 17 out of 22 students secured a pass certificate.
Declan Phanbuh, with 82 per cent, was the school topper.
