Bihu functions

Bihu celebrations at Guwahati Bihu Sanmilani, Latasil, till April 16. Bihu Rani contest will be held on April 15 and Bihu Samraggi competition on April 16 from 8 pm. The Pub Guwahati Bihu Sanmilan will celebrate Bohag Bihu with a four-day programme at the Assam Engineering Institute playground till Friday. Bihu Konwari competition has been organised by East Guwahati Bihutoli at Chandmari Bihutoli on April 16 at 7 pm. Rongali Bihu will be celebrated at Rukmininagar, Guwahati, under the aegis of Pragati Sangha on May 1.

Talk

A talk on Cultural Heritage of the Hajongs, a tribe of western Assam and Meghalaya, will be held at Vivekananda Kendra, Guwahati, on April 18 at 5 pm. The talk will be delivered by Sibananda Sarma, former project director, integrated tribal development project, Goalpara.

Cine Club

The Gauhati Cine Club will observe its foundation day on April 26.

Kidsfest
