Guwahati, Jan. 18: DY 365 thrashed Dainik Janambhumi by 120 runs in a league match of the 1st GTC Media Cricket Tournament at Judges Field today.

DY opted to bat and posted 203 for six in the stipulated 20 overs.

The victory was largely thanks to a sparkling 60 off 29 balls by Binoy Kalita.

This was coupled by a brisk 52 off 34 balls by Kishore Talukdar.

For Janambhumi, Seemanta Sarma bagged three for 37 in four overs.

However, Janambhumi faltered in their chase and were bundled out for a paltry 83 in 15.2 overs.

Debojyoti Sarma made 26 while Seemanta chipped in with 14.

For DY, Binoy Kalita came up with magical figures of five for seven runs in 2.2 overs.

Ankur Borthakur claimed two wickets.

Tomorrow, Assam Tribune will clash with Adinor Sambad.
