DSc honour for research

Ashis K. Mukherjee from the department of molecular biology and biotechnology of Tezpur University has been awarded Doctor of Science (DSc) in biotechnology from the University of Calcutta for his contribution towards snake venom research and snakebite therapy.

Tezpur: Ashis K. Mukherjee from the department of molecular biology and biotechnology of Tezpur University has been awarded Doctor of Science (DSc) in biotechnology from the University of Calcutta for his contribution towards snake venom research and snakebite therapy.

Tezpur University media cell chairman Rajiv Doley said the award was conferred upon Mukherjee by Bengal governor and university chancellor Keshri Nath Tripahty at the annual convocation of the university on January 11.
