Guwahati, Feb. 19: City Cricket Club today clinched a four-wicket victory against Navajyoti Club in a league encounter of the Indra Prova Dutta Guwahati First Division Cricket Tournament at IIT ground here.
Put in to bat, Navajyoti were bundled out for 113 in 25 overs and the City batsmen scored 116 for six in 26.5 overs.
Riyan Parag (33, 5x4, 1x6), Deepjyoti Kakoty (24, 3x4) were the notable scorers for Navajyoti while Dharani Rabha remained not out on 23 (2x4).
Surinder Singh of City hauled five wickets for 30, and Pankaj Hazarika captured two for one.
For City, Deepjyoti Nath remained unbeaten topscoring with 29 (2x4), while Aryaman Tiwari (21, 3x4) and Chandradeep Das (15, 1x4) were the other notable scorers.
Abhijit Singha Roy picked up three wickets for 30 runs and Shubham Mandal claimed two for 10.
Bud Cricket Club will meet Santipur AC in the next match on Monday.
The Rashmi Bala Tamuly Second Division League of the GSA will be held at Latasil ground here from March 5.
