Imphal, Sept. 23: Awenson K. proved to the chief wrecker for Haoreibi Sporting Club, pumping in two goals against Chajing Inat Kanba Lup in the Imphal West First Division Football League Tournament at Lilong Chajing today.

The first goal for Haoreibi came in the 9th minute from a header by Awenson. In the 49th minute, he scored the second goal for the 2-0 win today.

Women Football Academy routed the All Kakching Khunou Sports Association by 8-0 goals in the 2nd M. Maipakpi Memorial Women’s Football League Tournament 2009 at DSA Kakching ground. Devala Devi scored a hattrick while Chim Chim Serto contributed two goals.

OIL men win: Defending champions Oil India Ltd, Duliajan won the 39th Motiram Bora memorial invitation football tournament defeating Green Valley Sports Club Guwahati 6-4 via tie-breaker in the final played at Khirod Borua stadium in Morigaon this afternoon, says our Nagaon correspondent.
