Hailakandi, Jan. 29: Three veteran badminton players, Sunirmal Roy Choudhury, Anuj Das and Dipali Das, were felicitated yesterday on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the District Sports Association (DSA) of Karimganj.

All the three players have represented the state team several times in various national championships.

They were felicitated with mementoes and other gifts by association president Chandrajyoti Bhattacharjee, general secretary Biman Bihari Sinha and secretary of indoor sports Jahar Das.

Leading citizens of the district — Sukhendu Bikash Paul, Amalesh Choudhury, Anju Devi and the president and the general secretary of indoor sports — addressed a meeting. A district-level badminton meet will also be organised on the occasion.
