Jorhat, Sept. 14: Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) reached the semi-finals of the 44th ATPA Shield football tournament today with a 2-0 victory over Second Assam Special Reserve Force (ASRF) in a quarterfinal match here.

Kamal Chetry gave ASEB the lead in the 34th minute when he tapped in a ricochet off the ASRF goalkeeper, who failed to clear an indirect free kick taken by Sanjiba Rongpi. Suchungme Releng took the game away from the police team when he netted the second goal in the 59th minute through a solo effort.

OIL, Duliajan, will clash with Assam Police Blues in the first semi-final tomorrow. OIL entered the semi-finals on Saturday defeating Lajong Sports Club, Shillong, 6-4 via tiebreakers after a 2-2 normal time tie.
