I can’t wait to watch Dilwale because I am a big-time Shah Rukh Khan fan. The excitement I feel before the release of any of his films is uncanny. The second reason is that this time we’ll again get to see Shah Rukh and Kajol together, after five years. Their chemistry is undoubtedly the best in Bollywood. They make the film look pretty with their awesome chemistry. With Dilwale we can expect a DDLJ all over again. It’s been 20 years but the film is still growing in its own way. Another reason why I can’t wait to watch Dilwale is Varun Dhawan. We all know about Varun’s awesome dance moves and I can’t wait for him to make us swoon over his charming personality and dance moves.

I can’t wait to watch Dilwale only because it’s an SRK-Kajol film directed by Rohit Shetty. That makes a quirky amalgamation, given that Shetty’s genre of films mainly centre around action-comedies, along with some emotional sequences, while SRK-Kajol truly dominates the romantic genre. When these three have come together to recreate the DDLJ feel after 20 years, this calls for a celebration! The SRK-Kajol pair looks fresh and vibrant and can still outrun many a couple across the film industry (sorry Gauri Khan and Ajay Devgn!). Dilwale is even more highly anticipated because it brings the iconic SRK-Kajol couple on screen once again. With them together, chemistry is created without any effort. Kajol’s effervescent charm complements SRK’s electrifying attitude. It has been years since we first saw them in Baazigar but till today people cite their example when referring to golden couples. Moreover, SRK is a senior actor and he looks better when paired opposite senior actresses rather than young girls.

Dilwale is making all of us curious. It’s not that we all are just waiting for Dilwale, it’s Dilwale magnetising us. There are many reasons to watch Dilwale. SRK has delivered a few action-comedy films in the last couple of years, which are insalubrious for his image. Being the king of romance, we always expect something musical and romantic from him. After a long time comes Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale that gives that essence. The Shah Rukh-Kajol partnership is another major draw, we are aware what their chemistry is.

Dilwale, a “larger-than-life” movie that hits the silver screen on December 18, is clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, another much-awaited movie for me! I can’t wait for Dilwale to release and there are enough reasons for my excitement. First, I am dying to watch the evergreen DDLJ couple — SRK and Kajol — on the big screen after five years! The dance song, which got leaked from the sets, gives us enough reason to go gaga over the fact that SRK and Kajol are reprising their chemistry from DDLJ-Kuch Kuch Hota Hai-My Name Is Khan!
Being a huge VARUNIAC, I am also looking forward to the movie as it will be Varun’s first Rs 200 crore-plus movie and no one among the NextGen actors has crossed the Rs 150-crore barrier! His success is my success. Also, his pairing with Kriti Sanon looks zesty and appealing. The fact that both Varun and SRK have equally important parts to play in the movie is another reason to wait for the film.
Third, Dilwale being a Rohit Shetty movie with four main leads and eight other celebrated co-actors in the team, has enough potential for smashing all previous records at the Indian box office.
Its clash with the Deepika-Ranveer-Priyanka-starrer Bajirao Mastani is supposedly one the biggest clashes ever in Bollywood. However, Dilwale is likely to outshine in every way. Going by Varun’s words, “Dilwale has blockbuster written all over it and is a family entertainer!”, it seems that this Christmas both kids and parents are in for a good treat!
I am planning to catch the first day, first show of the movie or if t2 could arrange for a premiere show, then I would be more than delighted!
