Three Pines

The official trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming British-Canadian mystery series Three Pines has been unveiled. Based on the Chief Inspector Gamache novel series by Louise Penny, the series stars Alfred Molina in the lead role and also features Rossif Sutherland, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, Tantoo Cardinal and Clare Coulter.

The trailer introduces us to Gamache leading the investigation of two homicides in a hamlet called Three Pines. We also get a glimpse of a series of dark activities and a pile of dead bodies. The investigator has to unearth the secrets, scandals and corruption of the place to save lives. We also get to see several of the inhabitants of the small village.

Three Pines will arrive on Prime Video on December 2.

Christmas Full of Grace

Netflix released the official trailer of its upcoming Brazilian romantic comedy film Christmas Full of Grace on Tuesday late evening. The film stars Sérgio Malheiros and Vera Fischer in lead roles.

The synopsis reads, “On Christmas Eve, Carlinhos discovers he’s been cheated on. In an attempt to keep the situation a secret, he takes a stranger with him to a traditional holiday dinner—hosted by his grandmother, the wealthy Lady Sofia. Only it seems as if Grace, the mysterious guest, might be capable of bringing the house down.”

Christmas Full of Grace will arrive on Netflix on November 30.

Master of Light

Upcoming HBO documentary film Master of Light’s trailer has also come out. The film chronicles the life of artist George Anthony Morton, who developed his exceptional gift for portraiture while serving time in federal prison. This directorial venture by Rosa Ruth Boesten won the Grand Jury Award for Documentary Feature at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

The trailer follows an intimate portrait of artist George Anthony Morton’s journey to face his past and defy art world expectations. It includes interviews and archival footage of his work along with people close to him.

Master of Light will premiere on HBO on November 16 and stream on HBO Max.

The Eternal Daughter

The first official trailer of British filmmaker Joanna Hogg’s upcoming horror film The Eternal Daughter has come out. It stars Tilda Swinton, Carly-Sophia Davies and Zinnia Davies-Cooke. Legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese serves as executive producer.

In the trailer, we see an artist and her elderly mother who confront long-buried secrets when they return to their former family home, now a hotel haunted by its mysterious past. Swinton is on double duty in the film, playing both mother and daughter. Hogg is the director of the award-winning two-part Souvenir series.

The Eternal Daughter will hit the cinemas on December 2.

Firefly Lane: Season 2

Netflix has dropped the official trailer of the second season of its drama series Firefly Lane. Created by Maggie Friedman, the series is based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah. It stars Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke in lead roles.

The trailer addresses many unanswered questions raised in the finale of the first season. It shows the aftermath of what happened to Johnny (Ben Lawson) and his time in Iraq. It also follows Tully taking a detour in her career after being sued for walking away from her talk show and igniting a search for her father.

Firefly Lane: Season 2 will arrive on Netflix on December 2.

Disenchanted

Walt Disney Studios on Tuesday late evening dropped a new trailer for its upcoming live-action musical comedy Disenchanted. Starring Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel and James Marsden in lead roles, the film also features Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays. Directed by Adam Shankman from a screenplay by Brigitte Hales, the film has its music composed by Oscar-winners Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.

The trailer shows Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) moving their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a fairytale life. Things, however, become complicated when Malvina Monroe (Rudolph) makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Giselle turns to magic, which turns her family life upside-down.

Disenchanted will be streaming on Disney+ from November 24.
