Headlights: eminem ft. nate ruess Who would have thought that even this would happen? Bad boy rapper Eminem has used his new single Headlights, also featuring Indie pop band Fun’s frontman Nate Ruess, to apologise to his mother Deborah for lashing out at her in the early stages of his career and blaming her for his troubled childhood. With heartfelt lines like Mom, I know I let you down, the song’s music video, directed by filmmaker Spike Lee, is the week’s biggest YT hit at 9,139,070 singalongs.

Trailer: Lekar hum deewana dil

Armaan Jain follows in the footsteps of cousins Karisma, Kareena and Ranbir to make his acting debut in Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. Billed a romantic comedy, produced by Saif Ali Khan and directed by Imtiaz Ali’s brother Arif, the July 4 release has Deeksha Shetty opposite Armaan, with the trailer giving a very Jab We Met look and feel. The film’s trump card? Its music is by A.R. Rahman. Total views for the 2:47 trailer? 3,151,988

Galliyan: Ek villain

He’s landed in lock-up on a rape charge, but Aashiqui 2 music man Ankit Tiwari has come up with a real gem as the first track of Ek Villain. Enhanced by the searing chemistry between Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor and picturised in the breathtaking locales of Goa, Galliyan — sung by Ankit and worded by Manoj Muntashir — is fast climbing the charts and has been watched and rewatched 2,022,293 times on YouTube. Ek Villain hits screens on June 27.

Love never felt so good: Justin Timberlake &... Michael Jackson!

Back in the ’80s, Paul Anka had written Love Never Felt So Good for Michael Jackson. Now, three decades later, Justin Timberlake has recorded the number — as a homage to the King of Pop — as part of Xscape, an album of previously unreleased MJ songs. With beats reminiscent of the Black or White man’s biggest hits and featuring his much-loved signature steps, Love Never Felt So Good is a good listen. The video featuring Timberlake, with MJ’s moods and moments playing out in the background, is a winner at 1,236,615 cheers.

Caller tune: Humshakals

Sajid Khan has just released the first track of his latest comedy film Humshakals. Picturised on Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta and Tamannaah, Caller tune — with laugh-out-loud lyrics like Mujhe apni bana le caller tune/ Everytime I see you, I’m over the moon/ Tujhe chaahun summer, winter, monsoon — has 858,704 hits.

2 states spoof

Shudh Desi Endings has always done a great job at spoofing some of Bolly’s biggest hits, but their spoof of 2 States — titled ‘Chu States’ — is LOL. Starting with Krish and Ananya’s first meeting in the college canteen to their marriage, the fun video covers it all in just 5:47, but makes it so much more crazzzzzyyyy. Sample: The Punjabi and Tamil parents fight not over their childrens’ choice to marry, but over their city’s IPL teams! Total ROFLs? 138,838.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

These men can dance!

The Graham Norton Show had three very special guests recently —X-Men co-stars Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. Looking sharp in black suits, the three hunks shared nuggets from their experiences during the shoot of the film. The best bit? When Jackman related how he would play the Robin Thicke hit Blurred Lines to “coax” Fassbender out of his vanity van for a shot. The crowning moment — the lookers breaking into an ’80s-style jig as Blurred Lines played out in the studio. Paisa vasool!
