Excited about her new show, Sandipta said, “This is a passion project for me. I have always been excited about experimenting with myself as an actor and playing these powerful characters creates such a space every day.” Adding further about her look, she said, “I feel excited as my look from the series is completely different from the other roles I have played in the past and now that it has been revealed, I hope the audience gets to see the extraordinary journey that will unfold behind this ordinary appearance. It does not matter how I look when I play a certain role, what matters is how the character looks and behaves. Aparna is a very challenging character and I am excited to show everyone her story.”

Talking about the series, director Aditi Roy said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be once again narrating a story that has been so contemporary and deeply rooted in our society. The world has witnessed the macro impacts that the #MeToo movement had and for me, it was quite an interesting journey to build a portrayal of the same through narrating a story from an intricate and micro level of the impact. I am really grateful to be able to bring out the dilemmas through both sides of the movement with the journey of Aparna in Noshtoneer.
