Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has emerged as the first Bollywood film to cross the Rs 600-crore mark in India, a feat only achieved by blockbusters delivered by film industries down south so far.

Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 (Rs 960 crore nett), Prabhas-starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 907 crore nett) and S.S. Rajamouli-helmed RRR (Rs 782 crore nett) are the only Indian films to have breached the Rs 600-mark domestically before Jawan.

With the extended weekend 'Buy 1 Get 1' offer fueling its success, the Atlee-helmed actioner witnessed a surge in its collections, amassing an impressive Rs 8.80 crore net in India on its fourth Sunday. This has propelled the film's total collection in the domestic box office to a staggering Rs 606 crore nett.

On the global stage, Jawan has already breezed past Pathaan’s lifetime collection (Rs 1054 crore gross), amassing an astounding Rs 1,068.58 crore gross worldwide and emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year.

Jawan features an ensemble cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt play cameos in the action thriller.

Among the new Hindi releases of the week, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba-helmed Fukrey 3 emerged victorious over Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War and P. Vasu’s Chandramukhi 2 in terms of collection. The comedy drama, featuring Pankaj Tripathi and Varun Sharma, minted Rs 43.55 crore nett at the domestic box office during the extended opening weekend.

Nana Patekar and Pallavi Joshi-starrer The Vaccine War bombed at the box office, managing to rake in a meagre Rs 5.70 crore nett in four days. Kangana Ranaut-starrer Chandramukhi 2 fared marginally better, with a collection of Rs 23.90 crore nett in all languages.
