Apart from her feature film debut with action-thriller Lakadbaggha on January 13, Ridhi Dogra has two other big releases lined up this year.

The actress has a big Diwali release — Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. But before that, she will be sharing screen space with her idol, Shah Rukh Khan, in Atlee’s Jawan.

“I actually didn’t want to work with them (Salman and Shah Rukh) because they’re too big. I am a product of the way Shah Rukh thinks. So, if you apply his thought process in your life, you have to be the king wherever you are. Shah Rukh says, ‘I’m the best.’ So, I also say that I’m the best,” said Ridhi while talking about her big-ticket films.

The actress, who has played lead roles in multiple TV serials, said it was a big risk for her to feature alongside the two Bollywood stars. “They’re running everything. But I guess I was in that mindset at the time when I said to myself, ‘Push yourself and put yourself in this spot.’ I didn’t need to, but I did because I wanted to challenge myself mentally.”

It was a classic fangirl moment for Ridhi when she met Shah Rukh Khan. “When I met Shah Rukh for the first time, it was only two of us. He was not talking. He was nice. He didn’t get up or was on his phone. So, I thought that I would be funny, crack some jokes, or say random things and try to talk to him. Soon I realised that I should just shut up,” she recalled.

While sharing her shooting experience with Shah Rukh, the actress said she did not talk to him even on the sets. “I was just speechless. He’s too big a deal for me. I idolise him too much. I have understood how big he is after working with him. My family and friends know how much I love Shah Rukh, but I didn’t know the extent of it till I met him and couldn’t talk to him. Then I was like, you know what, I don’t want him to be my friend. I want him to remain my idol.”

Ridhi will be seen playing a sleuth in Lakadbaggha alongside Anshuman Jha. The film directed by Victor Mukherjee also features Milind Soman, Paresh Pahuja, Eksha Kerung, and Kharaj Mukherjee.
