Fighter jets whoosh through the snow-clad mountains of Kashmir against the backdrop of a new battle in the teaser of Jio Cinema’s upcoming war action series Ranneeti - Balakot & Beyond, unveiled by the streamer on Sunday.
The 20-second-long teaser begins with an explosion rocking a small town in Kashmir, followed by fighter jets using chaff and flare as they fly through the mountain ranges. “This is a new battle, and to win this battle we need a new plan,” states a voiceover.
Bollywood actress Lara Dutta shared the teaser on X (previously Twitter) with the caption: “Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond, a new series inspired by true events. #RanneetiOnJioCinema, coming soon. Stay tuned!”.

Directed by Santosh Singh, the upcoming series stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Jimmy Sheirgill, Lara Dutta, Ashutosh Rana, Prasanna, Suneel Sinha, Aakanksha Singh and Sikandar Kharbanda.
Lara, who made her Bollywood debut over two decades ago with Andazz alongside Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, was recently seen in two OTT projects including Vishal Bhardwaj’s Charlie Chopra, based on Agatha Christie’s mystery novel The Sittaford Mystery.
