Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn will star in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four, the production house announced on Valentine’s Day, dropping an illustrated poster of the cast on social media.

“Happy Valentine’s Day from Marvel’s First Family! Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are The Fantastic Four,” wrote the makers on Instagram on Wednesday.

Pascal of Game of Thrones fame will play Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), the leader of the group. Kirby, known for her portrayal of Princess Margaret in the Netflix drama series The Crown, will appear as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman). The Bear star Moss-Bachrach will essay the role of Ben Grimm (The Thing). Quinn, who portrayed Eddie Munson in Stranger Things Season 4, will play Johnny Storm (The Human Torch).

The four characters were introduced by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby in 1961’s Fantastic Four No. 1. The storyline revolves around four astronauts who gained superpowers following an exposure to cosmic rays during a scientific mission in outer space.

Previously there have been three cinematic adaptations of The Fantastic Four. In 2005 and 2007, the four characters were portrayed by Ioan Gruffudd (Reed Richards), Jessica Alba (Susan Storm), Chris Evans (Johnny Storm) and Michael Chiklis (Ben Grimm). In the 2015 adaptation, the core cast included Miles Teller (Reed Richards), Kate Mara (Sue Storm), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm) and Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm).

Directed by WandaVision filmmaker Matt Shakman from a script by Josh Friedman, the upcoming Fantastic Four movie is slated to hit theatres on July 25, 2025.
