Pathaan joins the Rs 500-crore club in five days

The spy action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham fetched Rs 123 crore nett over the weekend

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is relentlessly moving ahead. It has minted nearly Rs 550 crore gross in worldwide collections in five days after its release on January 25.

According to Box Office India reports, the spy action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand raked in Rs 123 crore over the weekend in India, with Rs 70 crore nett on Sunday and Rs 53 crore nett on Saturday.

The film, which also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has collected more than Rs 286 crore nett in India alone since its release. It has emerged as the fastest Indian film in history to enter the Rs 200-crore club, beating KGF: Chapter 2 and Baahubali: The Conclusion on the way. The action thriller is now looking to surpass the lifetime collections of Aamir Khan’s 2016 blockbuster Dangal (Rs 384 crore).

The fourth film is the YRF Spy Universe, Pathaan has also set the box office on fire across the globe. It emerged as the first Hindi film to gross more than Rs 100 crore gross at the global box office on Day One.
