Quirky chandeliers, floor lamps, table lamps, lights that can be accessed from your phone or iPad or computer... all this is just the tip of the decor iceberg at Avenue 48, the newest boutique for lights in town.

The 2,000sq ft store — done up like a home, complete with a drawing-cum-dining room, a bar and sections dedicated to kids — has been set up by Nikhil and Neha Mody. “Earlier shopping for lights would only be easy if you had a set idea in your mind about what you wanted. People are particular about how they want to do up their homes and this store shows you just how good a particular kind of light will look in a space,” said Nikhil.
