Salman Khan, making his debut on Karan Johar’s couch, coolly sipped on his coffee and then let off some steam, directed at former flame Katrina Kaif and her current beau Ranbir Kapoor. Salman openly hinted at the Ranbir-Katrina relationship, an affair that had remained hush-hush till then. In trademark Salman style, the superstar took digs at Katrina and Ranbir.“This Ranbir is taking away everything,” he deadpanned. When asked what would happen if he woke up as Kat one morning, Salman mimicked Katrina stretching herself with: “Where’s Ranbir?” His advice to Ranbir? “Have fun!” accompanied by a wink and a smile.

‘I hate deepika for taking ranveer away from me!’

Bumchums Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor funned things up on the couch, though Ranveer played it safe and kept mum on his rumoured relationship with Deepika Padukone. But the confirmation came 20 minutes into the show when Ranveer’s bromance buddy Arjun was asked which heroine he would like to kill. Arjun’s reply: “Deepika Padukone... for taking him (Ranveer) away from me!”

The episode also let out a skeleton from Arjun’s own cupboard — the hint of a fling with Anushka Sharma, who was Ranveer’s girlfriend not too long ago.

What Salman dropped tantalising hints about was clearly spelt out by Kareena Kapoor in episode 2 in which she came with cousin Ranbir. From calling Katrina Kaif her “sister-in-law” to telling a blushing Ranbir: “I’ve got my lehnga ready for your wedding!” Kareena was in a no-holds-barred mood. She even told host KJo: “I hope I get to dance to Chikni Chameli and Sheila ki jawani at Ranbir and Katrina’s wedding... only Katrina songs.” When asked who she would want to have a gay encounter with, Bebo hardly batted an eyelid, saying: “With my sister-in-law Katrina Kaif!”

The lip job gone wrong was a distraction, but we were all ears when Karan bombarded Anushka Sharma about her dating Virat Kohli. Even as KJo probed relentlessly about her closeness to the Indian team’s vice-captain, Anushka blushed beetroot red and only kept parroting: “Shut up Karan!” But the confirmation came a little later when Anushka ’fessed: “We’ll see where it (the relationship) goes.” When asked who would she go on a date with, Anushka chose Virat over Ranveer and Arjun. She also did admit that Virat is her favourite cricketer.

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor never went public with their relationship — despite Shahid being caught in his shorts at PC’s house one morning — but on the KwK episode where she came with Deepika Padukone, Priyanka didn’t hesitate to speak about her former beau: “It’s all cool… we are in the same industry. I am fine… with him.” But that the relationship had ended on a sour note was clearly spelt out by a catty PC when KJo asked her to give one word for Shahid. Her reply: “Gandi baat!” On his episode, Shahid accepted that currently his equation with PC is cool and they are friends.

Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor are reported to be seeing each other, but the R...Rajkumar pair has been tight-lipped about the liaison. Fanning rumours that Sonakshi only wanted Shahid on the couch with her (ahem!), Karan Johar let a cheeky one slip out during the episode, telling Shahid: “You’ve come only with girlfriends to this show... Kareena, Priyanka and... Sonakshi!” Go figure.
