Kolkata to Jammu — Kshmr kept Sunburn arena on its toes on Friday!

“When I was young I tried fitting in and being an American, but as I grew older, I thought more about my heritage and I felt that to be different in some way was more of a gift than a curse. And so in my music, I wanted to incorporate instruments and things that I fell in love with in India,” said KSHMR — the star DJ who rocked Sunburn Arena, in association with t2, at Aquatica on Friday.

With an official footfall of around 5,000, the city danced to the beats of Niles Hollowell-Dhar, the present World #12 DJ (DJ Mag 2017).

“Everybody... I want to see your phone lights on,” he said before he dropped the bass.
From jumping off the stage to constantly pepping up the crowd to playing a kick-ass set... the DJ juggled it all.
“Thank you so much for coming... I just want to say one thing… I grew up coming to India as a kid, I was raised in the US and when I used to visit my family here, I would tell my family that my world is very small in India… but you guys have made my world so f***ing big! Every time I come here… it’s like millions of fans I make through music and we connect that way and I really appreciate it. I love you guys and I’m so grateful,” signed off KSHMR.
“Hello Kolkata kemon acho? Ami Jai Wolf, New York city theke aschi, this is my first time in the city, thank you!” said DJ Jai Wolf as he opened for KSHMR. The songs that got the crowds raging? Indian Summer, Starboy and Afterhours.
