Following the teaser launch of Dhanush’s Vaathi to Nani’s Dasara, the makers of other upcoming movies from the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look at some of them.

Intinti Ramayanam (Telugu)

Aditya Music released the official teaser of its upcoming Telugu-language film Intinti Ramayanam. Written and directed by Suresh Nadelda, the family drama stars Vijaya Krishna, Rahul Ramakrishna, Navya Swamy, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Gangavva, Anji Mama, Anji, Chevella Ravi, Jeevan and Stephen Madhu.

The one-minute-27-second-long trailer gives us glimpses of a small town in rural Telangana. It introduces us to a happy family and its fun-loving members. The story, however, gets a bit tense when they are summoned by the police for a case.

Ntikkakkakkoru Premandaarnnu (Malayalam)

Saregama Malayalam unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming Malayalam-language film Ntikkakkakkoru Premandaarnnu. Written, edited and directed by Adhil Maimoonath Asharaf, the film stars Sharaf U Dheen, Bhavana, Saniya Rafi, Asokan and Anarkali Nasar.

The two-minute-26-second-long trailer begins with a voiceover where a man tells us how he met a girl in school and that he is looking for a life partner now. The trailer gives us a whimsical account of a modern-day love story embedded in magic realism.

Thandakaaranayam (Tamil)

The official title and first poster of filmmaker Athiyan Athirai’s upcoming Tamil-language film Thandakaaranayam have been unveiled by the makers. Backed by Pa Ranjith’s banner Neelam Productions, the film has an ensemble cast of Kalaiyarasan, Attakathi Dinesh, Riythvika, Vishnu Sam and Bala Saravanan.

In the poster, we see a bridge made of a gun on which the characters of the film are standing. Only the silhouette of the characters is visible. Athiyan Athirai is known for his critically acclaimed 2019 film Gundu.

Mary (Kannada)

The trailer of the upcoming Kannada-language drama film Mary has come out. Written and directed by Manoj P Nadalumane, the film is produced by Ranvith Shivakumar alongside Hareesh G B. Mary stars Vikash Uthaiah, Thejaswini Sharma, Anoosha Bhat and Vicky.

The two-minute-nine-second-long trailer shows us a camping trip where a girl gets physically assaulted. The hard-hitting trailer shows the kind of harassment the girl has to go through when she decides to go to the police. There is also a thriller element included in the video.

Mary will arrive in the theatres on February 24.
