Priyanka Padai won Step Up, the dance competition

Freshers were in for a royal treat at Deluge 2014, presented by IBS Calcutta, in association with The Telegraph-YOU, on July 28. The Marble Room banquet hall at IndiSmart was lit up as the new entrants sang and danced away, making their freshers’ welcome party an affair to remember. Step Up, the dance competition, saw much enthusiasm, with the newbies rocking the floor. Priyanka Padai grooved to hip hop and won the competition.

The other highlight of the party? The coveted Mr and Miss IBS crowns. Arjun Banerjee was adjudged Mr IBS while Arpita Das Chowdhary was crowned Miss IBS. Prizes were given out and then freshers and seniors got together and danced to mashup and more.

“Deluge 2014 was a huge success, especially given that it was all arranged by the student council members. I am glad that the freshers had so much fun,” said Md Umar Farooque, a second-year student of IBS Calcutta.
