My favourite outfit: Jeans and T-shirt because it is the most comfortable outfit to sport on a busy day. When you work in television, most of your days are busy days.

My favourite outfit when I am driving to a shoot: I wear a lot of cargos. In summer, I feel extremely comfortable in cargos and a nice loose T-shirt.

My favourite outfit for evening wear: Always jeans. Or I may wear a dress. I have only one pair of pants.

My favourite outfit for a formal occasion: Anything Indian. Till four or five years ago, I used to get my saris pre-stitched but now I can drape them though I am still far from perfecting the art. However, I feel very comfortable in a churidar-kurta or an Anarkali.

I like to sleep in: Comfortable pyjamas and a T-shirt.

My favourite designers in India: Abu Jani, Sandeep Khosla and Hemant Trivedi because I feel their clothes are timeless. If my mum had worn the clothes of these designers and passed them down, I would still be able to wear them.

When I go abroad: I am very happy shopping at Zara’s. For working clothes, I buy lots of stuff from Guess. I love the fit of their track pants. When it comes to accessories, I think Miu Miu makes beautiful handbags.

In shoes I prefer wearing: Three-inch heels. I have a serious problem with very high heels.

In bags I like: I think people will kill me but I find Louis Vuitton very boring. Every fashion critic will put my picture on a dart-board but I find them boring. I would rather buy a Dior.

My favourite brands in jeans: Armani, Diesel. I am not a brand loyalist. I will buy whatever I fancy at the moment.

My favourite colours: For the longest time, I only wore black and then I only wore white. I try and avoid black during summer, but if I am going out in the night I will still pick black. I am also happy with very bright colours.

My favourite accessory: My Omega watch. If I wear it with a formal outfit it looks formal and if I wear it with a casual outfit it looks trendy.

I would like my man to be dressed in: Anything as long as it is not sloppy. A crumpled shirt and a dirty jeans doesn’t work for me. I am a very casual dresser but at the same time I am not a huge fan of grunge. To let your guard down once in a while is fine but not regularly.

My handbag always contains: My contact lens and my lens solution because without them my world would be a blur. What goes into my handbag never comes out; it finds a house for itself. I had shoulder pain for a long time until someone weighed my bag one day and I realised that it was eight kilos! My wallet is actually the size of a clutch. I carry strange things — lip balm, a pair of foldable scissors, three perfume bottles.

My favourite perfume: Romance by Ralph Lauren. But currently I am using Very Sexy by Victoria’s Secret.

My tip on clothes: Dress according to your body type and your comfort level.

My hair care routine: I just love the way a hair spa smells. I oil my hair every alternate day for 10 minutes and leave it overnight. I wash it in the morning. Every time I wash my hair, I make it a point to condition it.

I admire the hair of: Dimple Kapadia. If I could rob it off her head, I would.

A feature I like to conceal with make-up: I have the world’s worst nose ever; it just has a mind of its own. So the one feature on my face that needs major work is my nose.

Features I like to highlight with make-up: I have been told that I have very good cheekbones. So I like to use the right amount of blush to make my face look leaner.
