Govinda has signed a three-film deal with show organiser Pintu Mondal. The first film to roll out is Samadhi where Govinda is paired opposite Gracy Lagaan Singh and Sayali Bhagat (last seen in a bit role in Rajdhani Express with Leander Paes). “Govinda has done many shows across Bengal with me and that’s how I know him. I thought of taking our relationship further by offering him a film,” said Mondal, who is also producing Samadhi. The next two films, Lanka Kanda and Chor Police, will also star Govinda.

Samadhi, which goes on the floors next week, is about a cop (Govinda) and a love-lorn girl (Gracy). Sayali plays Govinda’s wife. Calcutta apart, Samadhi will be shot in Mumbai’s Film City and Visakhapatnam.
