She calls herself his “personal stylist”; he loves getting gifts for her. Walking into CIMA Art In Life, Ridhima Ghosh and Gaurav Chakrabarty lost no time in scanning the goodies on display and picking things for each other. Here’s what Tollywood’s cute couple loved...
FOR HER

Ridhima is not “a jewellery person”. “This neckpiece is not typical jewellery. It is made of fabric. See, she already loves it!” said Gaurav as Ridhima tried on the yellow necklace (Rs 450).

Ridhima had her sights set on this tangerine Benarasi dupatta (Rs 3,975) the moment she stepped into Art In Life, and Gaurav played the good boyfriend! “This would look fabulous with a simple white or black kurta,” said she.

Here’s one guy who knows what looks good on his girl! Gaurav wanted Ridhima to wear this white-and-pink Benarasi sari (Rs 21,750) during Durga Puja. “It’s so light... I can’t wear heavy saris. I am not too fond of saris but Ashtami is synonymous with saris,” said Ridhima.

Winter is not too far, hence the quilted jacket from Jaipur (Rs 4,500). “Bright colours suit her. It’s very classy,” said Gaurav. “This jacket will look so smart with denims,” giggled Ridhima.

“She has a fascination for bags but I am pretty sure she doesn’t have this particular one,” said small screen’s Byomkesh Bakshi, picking out a sling bag (Rs 1,875) made by the tribal women of Kutch.
FOR HIM

Ridhima’s first pick was a white cotton kurta with multi-coloured polka dots (Rs 1,425). Why? “Because he loves to wear white kurtas with jeans,” she smiled.

Gaurav is fond of antiques. “He loves collecting all these things,” said Ridhima, as Gaurav checked out the metal-embossed wooden trunk (Rs 24,950) from Gujarat.

“Oh, see this silk tie (Rs 950)! Would look great with the blue Zara jacket that you bought recently,” Ridhima told Gaurav.

“Do I need to say more? He is khaas admi!” blushed the actress, holding up the navy blue T-shirt (Rs 450) from the CIMA collection.

A printed black cotton shirt (Rs 1,075) to add variety to his wardrobe. “Gaurav wears striped and check shirts. I want him to experiment. I think he can carry it off well,” said Ridhima.
CIMA Art In Life is on from 11am to 8pm every day till October 19 at CIMA (Sunny Towers, 43 Ashutosh Chowdhury Avenue)
