Sansa will do a Cersei
Fans have gone wild after noticing that Sansa Stark’s hairstyle, when she confronts Jon Snow about his decision to not punish the Karstarks and Umbers, resembles Cersei Lannister’s from the earlier seasons. Combine that with her saying that she learnt a lot from Cersei, and you cannot but believe that it is a hint that she’s going to pull a Cersei on Jon.
Jaime killing Cersei foreshadowed
Eagle-eyed fans spotted a clue to what they believe is a hint of Cersei’s future. In the scene where Jaime and Cersei are talking while standing on a map, fans noticed that Cersei is standing on what is known as The Neck of Westeros. The Neck is a marshy place, which is the narrowest part of Westeros, and the place where Meera and Jojen Reed come from. Jaime is standing on what is known as Fingers, the place Petyr Baelish comes from (hence the name Littlefinger). Given that a prophecy tells of Cersei being strangled by the hands of her ‘valonqar’ which translated from Valyrian means ‘little brother’, this feels to many like a confirmation that Jaime will turn Queenslayer from Kingslayer. You know, neck... finger... strangle?
Bran lets the White Walkers across The Wall
Fans believe that the enchantment that prevented Benjen Stark/ Coldhand from crossing The Wall has been broken now that Bran Stark and Meera have been allowed into Castle Black, and will therefore allow the White Walkers cross it as well. Why you ask? Well the Three-Eyed Raven’s lair was protected by the same kind of enchantment till Bran was touched by the White Walkers and we know what happened after.
Euron Greyjoy’s gift for Cersei
A cocky and smarmy Euron Greyjoy promised to bring Cersei a gift to show his intentions towards the Queen, and there is a lot of speculation about what that can be. The most interesting is the horn called the Dragonbinder. In the books, Euron has a horn that controls dragons but which hasn’t been tested yet. And while the inscription on it reads “no mortal man should sound the horn and live”, what if it is a woman who sounds it or the rather undead warrior Cersei has in her possession. This could be bad news for Daenerys.
Bran drove the Mad King mad
Technically this is not based on the first episode but, it is too good to ignore. Remember how Ned Stark looked back when Bran called out to him as he travelled back to Tower of Joy, though the Three-Eyed Raven told him it was rustling leaves? Fans believe that the Raven was lying. Bran knows the way to defeat the White Walkers is to “burn them all”. Remember Jaime telling Brienne of Tarth that the last thing the Mad King (who heard “whispers”) said was “burn them all”? Was Bran who started it all by driving the Mad King mad?
The Hound is Azor Ahai
There are so many theories as to who can be the saviour called the Azor Ahai (Jon and Daenerys being the primary candidates), that adding new ones is just a matter of principle. The latest candidate is The Hound/ Sandor Clegane. A lot of people are theorising that the prophecy that the ‘Prince that was Promised’ will be born “amidst smoke and salt”, refers to The Hound’s childhood accident with fire and his almost dying at the Battle of Blackwater. Also, he is reading things in the flame. Shouldn’t the Azor Ahai have that ability given his affinity to fire? Not convinced? Neither are we, but who knows?
Jorah’s Greyscale will be cured
You know how Samwell Tarly was so eager to send Jon the raven about the dragonglass hoard at Dragonstone? Well some vigilant watchers zoomed into the book Sam was reading and noticed that one line has the words “dragonglass” and “cure” and “illness”. Remember how Shireen’s greyscale was arrested and left only a scar? Well she did live on Dragonstone, and maybe ingesting dragonglass is a cure! So, may be Sam will find a cure for Jorah Mormont.
