
Okja star Lily Collins has been cast in the survival thriller Titan, to be directed by Austin Bunn. The 29-year-old actress will essay the role of a young musician, reports Variety. The story follows a strong-willed young musician on a quest to understand the life of her environmental activist older sister, who was killed years before in a fall. Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa are producing the film that will be made for XYZ Films. The film will be introduced during the Cannes Film Festival. Last year, Collins starred in Netflix’s eating disorder drama To the Bone and is currently shooting for the thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, co-starring Zac Efron.

Veteran actor Kevin Costner is negotiating to lend his voice to a dog’s character in The Art of Racing in the Rain, a film adaptation of Garth Stein’s best-selling novel of the same name. The story is told through the perspective of a family dog, who looks back on his life and the lessons he has learned from his professional race car-driver owner Denny. If finalised, Costner, 63, will voice Enzo, the family dog, and will join This is Us star Milo Ventimiglia, who will play Denny, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be directed by Goodbye Christopher Robin’s Simon Curtin.

Popular TV actor Ravi Dubey (centre), now a reality show anchor, has signed his first Bollywood movie and will be debuting with Ankoosh Bhatt’s 3Dev. While his entire telly kin can’t seem to stop promoting his debut venture on social media sites, even director Ankoosh is happy to have cast Ravi in his film. Talking about Ravi’s debut with 3Dev, Ankoosh said: “Some people in television have far more potential than what they are settling for. Ravi has great comic timing and an amazing sense of humour, have you seen his mimicking skills as well? They are spot on! He is a bundle of talent and I am glad I could have him debut with my film before anyone else could cast him.” 3Dev is a comedy that also stars Kay Kay Menon, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Karan Singh Grover and Raima Sen.

Till recently we saw actor Abhishek Bachchan sporting a turban for Anurag Kashyap’s film Manmarziyaan. And now he has a new hairdo. The actor is almost done with the film and now we hear he has been approached by Shonali Bose for a new film that may have Priyanka Chopra. Incidentally, the two were also approached for a film on Sahir Ludhianvi to be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. We heard Priyanka is not doing the film but may be Junior Bachchan may just be there with rumours of Alia being approached for one of the female leads in the film.

Actors Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan have commenced shooting for their untitled gangster drama to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The script has been penned by Manjrekar and the film will also feature veterans Naseeruddin Shah and Amol Palekar. According to a release, the shooting started on Friday and is currently taking place in Mumbai. Shruti also shared the news on her official Twitter account and posted a photo with her co-star and director. “And here’s to another one !!”
