A boy enjoys Kurkure chaat at Nitai Sarkar’s shop near the Tollygunge Metro

What’s Puja and pandal-hopping without bingeing on street food? As a run-up to the festival, chaatwallahs across the city will serve up Kurkure chaats as part of the Kurkure Chaat Khao Helicopter-e Jao organised by ABP Group till October 17.

The listed chaatwallahs will include either Kurkure’s Jhalmuri flavour or the Tok Mishti Jhal flavour in the chaats they serve.

Join actresses Swastika Mukherjee, Koneenica Banerjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty in trying out these interesting chaat combos and then SMS KK <space> chaatwallah’s code to 56569 to tell us which shop makes the funkiest and yummiest Kurkure chaat. The top 10 chaat shops to get the most number of votes will then get to set up their stall at the Kurkure Tedha Chaat Mela, which will be held at a popular Puja pandal during the festive days.

And that’s not all! Those who send entries will get a chance to win a helicopter tour of Calcutta, for two. Ten participants will be chosen for the ride from a lucky draw.

The contest is also being held in Asansol, Durgapur and Siliguri.
