Food, music and fun make it a chillax sunday!

With that little chill in the air and the festive feel that’s coming, we weren’t too keen on spending our Sunday afternoon indoors. All we wanted was good food, lovely drinks, fun and music and a picnic feel rolled into one, without moving a bit from the city proper. And we did get all of that right off Park Street — at Whats In D Name to be precise!

Here’s what made us say “we will come back” after feasting on one of the themed Sunday brunches (it was Pop Art the day we went) at the glasshouse of the popular resto-pub.

What: Sunday Brunch
Where: Whats In D Name, 1/1 Camac Street (on top of Titan Eye)
When: 12.30pm to 5.30pm
Bill for one: Rs 1,850 (inclusive of taxes) for unlimited food and alcohol. Shisha is charged separately (Rs 400-plus)

Pop stars on colourful posters, paper art in myriad shades, quirky vases and vibrant flowers, napkins with polka dots.... the 40-seater glasshouse exuded a flamboyant charm to go with the multi-cuisine spread that boasted of more than 30 dishes with a focus on food from Israel and Turkey. Every Sunday the brunch will have some new dishes which are popular in different parts of the world.

She calls herself Xephyrtone and sings the unplugged version of chart-toppers. We tapped our feet to Lean On and Closer.

“The open sitting area, the food, the relaxed feel in the midst of a busy city make it a perfect spot to spend a Sunday afternoon,” said Rashi, a photographer (left), who dropped in with husband Saurav.

The location and the vibes are what drew DJ Teri Miko to the brunch. “Also, Xephyrtone is amazing,” she said.

(L-R) Devang Shah with friends Kaushal and Vasavi Shah were all praise for the food. “Our favourites are the Mushrooms Cooked in Red Wine and Zucchini Salad,” said Vasavi, a fashion designer.
