Mallika Sherawat and co-star Himanshu Malik got all hot and steamy in this Govind Menon film. She played a terminally ill 20-something in this millionth remake of the classic Love Story and he her hyperactive lover. A romp on the beach... a quickie in the locker room — Khwahish’s USP at the time of its release was a record 17 kisses between the lead pair. A Bolly record till Sudhir Mishra’s Yeh Saali Zindagi saw 22 liplocks between Arunoday Singh and Aditi Rao. Yes, someone keeps a count.

JISM

Ranked 92 in the top 100 sexiest movie scenes poll conducted by Channel 4, Jism had a sizzling Bipasha Basu scorching the screen as a bare-backed seductress, leading along a smitten John Abraham. A large part of this Mahesh Bhatt film was defined by passionate liplocks and frequent romps between the sheets — including one in which John moved a cube of ice down Bipasha’s body.The fact that John and Bipasha were a real-life couple only added to the screen sizzle.

A rare Bolly film that didn’t resort to cheat pecks.The kisses in this 2011 horror film were passionate and the love-making frenzied and primal. Handcuffs to condoms, this Ekta Kapoor production did it all.

Lust in the time of lust. Playing a desi femme fatale, Vidya Balan turned on the heat in this Abhishek Chaubey film. The raw liplock, the raunchy dance or the erotic sucking of the thumb, Vidya made Arshad Warsi (and so many other men) go nuts.

The film came and went, but the scene is still being YouTubed.
