Cirkus

T-Series has dropped a teaser for Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Cirkus. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the slapstick comedy also features Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Varun Sharma, Tiku Talsania and Vrajesh Hirjee.

In the almost one-minute-long teaser, we are introduced to all the prominent characters of the film as they talk about the simpler times of the 1960s when technology and social media were yet to take over. The period comedy is based on William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors. Ranveer and Varun will play double roles in the film. The story will revolve around a circus and will feature several of Rohit Shetty’s regulars in comic roles.

Cirkus will hit the cinemas on December 23.

The Big 4

The trailer of Netflix’s upcoming Indonesian action-comedy film The Big 4 is out. Helmed by The Night Comes For Us director Timo Tjahjanto, it features Abimana Aryasatya, Putri Marino, Arie Kriting, Lutesha, Marthino Lio, Kristo Immanuel, Michelle Tahalea, Budi Ros and Donny Damara.

In the two-minute-33-second-long trailer, we see a female detective teaming up with four retired assassins to investigate her father’s death. She follows clues to a remote tropical island, only to discover her deceased father was the leader of a gang of assassins. The trailer is filled with action sequences and funny dialogue.

The Big 4 will be streaming on the OTT platform on December 15.

Sasanasabha

The trailer for the upcoming Telugu-language political drama Sasanasabha was released by Aditya Music recently. Helmed by Venu Mandikanti, the film will feature Indrasena, Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni, Rajendra Prasad and Hebah Patel in important roles.

The one-minute-54-second-long trailer takes us through political turmoil and politicians scheming to seize power. It also shows henchmen engaging in brawls triggered by political rivalry. We see our hero (Indrasena) inside a prison, fighting other jail inmates. In the trailer, he is described as “the most dangerous animal”.

Sasanasabha will hit the cinemas on December 16.

Private Lesson

Netflix has dropped the trailer of its upcoming Turkish romantic comedy film Private Lesson. Murat Dişli and Yasemin Erturan have written the screenplay for the Kıvanç Baruönü-directed film. It stars Bensu Soral, Halit Özgür Sarı, Helin Kandemir, Rami Narin, Hatice Aslan, Hülya Gülşen Irmak, Murat Karasu, Elif Ceren Balıkçı, Deniz Altan and Esengül Yılmaz.

The one-minute-46-second-long trailer shows Azra (Bensu Soral), a young private tutor who secretly coaches students on achieving their goals in life and love. However, Azra and her students have to face several challenges on their road to success and happiness.

Private Lesson will arrive on Netflix on December 16.

Tathastu

Amazon Prime Video has released the teaser of comedian Zakir Khan’s upcoming stand-up comedy special titled Tathastu. In the teaser, we see the popular comedian in a black sherwani, standing in front of a set that resembles the Taj Mahal.

The synopsis of the special reads, “Tathastu starts off with a recap of moments from Zakir’s life. Starting from his early school days, the performance is a ride where the audience gets a peek at the family he was born in, the characters he grew closest to and his young years bloated with aspirations of becoming an RJ. He goes on to share a few personal learnings on stage as he tries to make sense of his journey thus far.”

Tathastu will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from December 1.
