There’s nothing like nursing a Saturday night hangover with a large meal the next morning. And Sunday brunches are supposed to be a long-drawn, leisurely affair, whether you choose to do it in elastic pants or high-waisted skirts.
Sunday brunch at Serafina imitates New York brunches, rendered so appetising in the absorbing world of American soaps like Sex and the City and Gossip Girl. Which explains the name, The Big Apple Brunch.
It begins with breakfast, as all good things do. Scrambled, fried, omelettes with bacon — have your egg your way or in more ways than one. Though the brunch menu offers choices in soups, salads, appetisers, pizzas, pastas, entrees and desserts, you don’t necessarily have to order a dish from every section. You can make a meal of three different pizzas and call it a day if you want to. It’s an all-you-can-eat menu, served at the table.
What’s more, a single glass of sangria, a cocktail, a mocktail or a breezer will be complimentary with the meal. If you’re looking for more adventure, a list of Diageo cocktails by Maxime Grivel can be paired with every course, for added price.

#TRENDING: ZOODLES!
Zoodles — spiral strips of veggies — are the rage these days because of the veggies-instead-of-carbs diet trend. What’s a zoodle? Think zucchini + noodles, though carrots, beetroot, sweet potato and eggplant are used too. At Serafina, we tried the Spaghetti Squash. Zucchini and pumpkin are the main ingredients in this “spaghetti” dish. With sauteed vegetables, pine nuts and tomato sauce, it’s this roughage-filled entree that you need to balance out all the pasta.
