He nursed a shoulder injury for the better part of 2009 but now Hiran is back to playing a lover boy. There’s Koel Mullick opposite him in Sujit Guha’s Mon Je Kore Uru Uru, which goes on the floors later this month.

“I had fallen off a crane while shooting a song sequence for my debut film Nabab Nandini back in 2008 and hurt my shoulder. I didn’t pay much attention to it but the pain got worse with time and I had to take a break from work,” says Hiran, whose last release was Maa Amar Maa in 2009.

Mon Je Kore Uru Uru is a love story laced with twists and turns. Hiran and Koel play college-goers, but that’s all you’ll know for now.

“We will first shoot the songs in Dubai and then start the film here. Hiran was interested in doing a film under my banner. Besides, he has given hits before, so we thought of casting him. I have asked Hiran to change his look and work on his body,” said Nishpal Singh of Surinder Films, the producer of Mon Je Kore...

Hiran is working hard for his first film in a year. “I have been missing in action for a long time and I am really looking forward to this film. I am very comfortable working with Koel. We’ve done three films together — Nabab Nandini, Chirosathi and Jackpot,” he added.

Mon Je Kore... will have six songs composed by Jeet Gannguli. N.K. Salil has written the script.
