Top consulting firm KPMG has scaled up its presence in Calcutta, taking up space totalling 30,000sq ft at Godrej Waterside IT park in Sector V of Salt Lake. “There is a silent revolution happening in the eastern states and I am excited about the potential of the market and talent available here. We are investing in Calcutta and the east forms an integral part of KPMG’s aggressive national growth plans,” said Richard Rekhy, CEO, KPMG in India, at Friday’s party at The Oberoi Grand. What about the manpower count here? “As of now, we are about 150 people in Calcutta but we are planning to go up to 700 people in the next four-five months. In India, we are 8,000 people,” said Rekhy.
