VINTAGE IS THE NEW COOL: An antique telephone with a clock and a gramophone occupy place of pride in the lobby. “We wanted this place to have that warm, snug Irish pub ambience,” said Sharanjit Singh, who’s taken over the current management of Xrong Place with brother Gagandeep. Don’t mistake it for a nightclub — there will be no DJs. Instead, expect interactive activities like karaoke and eating contests. The mantra: “There are no strangers in this pub… only friends who haven’t met yet!”

GAME ON: The lower level of the pub has English Premier League team jerseys, an LCD for match screenings, and La Liga and Bundesliga team flags. Coming up is a foosball table and darts. #Win

LEAVE A LINE: Stop for a minute by the message board with Post-it notes from visitors. Or read and learn from posters decoding Irish phrases or recipes of Irish cocktails.

#DRUNKYTIME: Lots of beer and some new cocktails. Pub grub like Shepherd’s Pie, Bangers and Mash, and Devils on Horseback make an entry. Do check out the Pitcher Wall of Fame. If you finish a pitcher of beer at one go without spilling, the drink is on the house and your name goes up on the Wall!
