Unish Kuri Glam Hunt 2015, presented by Reliance Trends, was launched last week at the Reliance Trends store in Avani Riverside Mall with a fashion show by last year’s participants, showcasing the label’s festive collection. For this year’s glam hunt, 10 participants will be picked, who will go through a training programme before the finals. Samrat Mukherjee will groom the contestants; Anupam Chatterjee will be in charge of styling, while Nabin Das will supervise hair and make-up. 

Here’s how to participate: 

1. Entry forms are available in Unish Kuri magazine, on the Unish Kuri website and the Unish Kuri Facebook page. Fill the form and attach two postcard-size photographs: one close-up, one full-length.

2. You may also click a selfie at the ‘Reliance Trends Selfie Zone’, in any of the brand’s stores, and attach it with the entry form. 

3. Send your form to ‘Reliance Trends Unish Kuri Glam Hunt 2015’, ABP Pvt Ltd, 6 Prafulla Sarkar Street. Or mail it to ukglamhunt2015@gmail.com 

4. Participants must be of Indian origin. Only unmarried boys and girls within 18-23 years are eligible.

Tips from Somraj Maity:

1. If you win the Glam Hunt, you get the opportunity to be on the cover of Unish Kuri. People notice you and you get exposure. Casting directors of Bengali soaps go back to ABP magazines when they need a new face. 

2. I learnt a lot in the grooming sessions. A Glam Hunt winner should be able to talk nicely and have  good body language. One has to focus on all-round personality development.  

3. All the finalists will be groomed in the same pattern, but if you want to win it, you have to make an effort to improvise and show that you are different from the rest.  

4. Don’t take too much stress. Have fun and enjoy the ride.
