A fest at IIM Calcutta and another at IIT Kharagpur

What: Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, presents Carpe Diem 2013, powered by t2.

Where: IIM Calcutta campus, Joka.

When: February 1 to 3.

One of the highlights of the Calcutta college fest calendar, Carpe Diem is all set to raise the bar yet again. With Calcutta Heritage as the theme, popular demand will see Saswata “Bob Biswas” Chatterjee inaugurating the fest. “We wanted a Bengali celebrity to inaugurate the fest and Bob Biswas is the most popular person now,” said an organiser. The highlights of the three-day fest include performances by bands Chronic Xorn and Agni. Events like fashion show Razmatazz, band competition Armageddon and dance competition Euphoria will see participation from colleges across the country.

What: Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, presents Kshitij 2013 in association with The Telegraph.

Where: IIT Kharagpur campus.

When: February 1 to 4.

With over 40 events spanning science, technology and management, the annual techno-management fest of IIT KGP will see participation from institutes across the globe. Participants will fight to prove their mettle in a variety of events, like Laws of Motion, where RC motor-powered aircrafts will be built, Robotix, where manual and autonomous robots will be built to navigate different terrains and perform various tasks. Other events include stock-market game Woodstock and gaming marathon X-Games.
