“I love experimenting with my cholis and gowns and since I am more comfortable revealing my back than cleavage, I wear a lot of backless stuff,” smiled Sreelekha, looking smoking hot in a black halter choli and a red chiffon sari on the sets of Milan Bhowmik’s Nirbhaya at Lake Land Country Club on Tuesday. In Nirbhaya, based on the Delhi gang rape tragedy, Sreelekha plays a high-profile socialite who later fights for the rape victim. So how many strappy backless blouses does she own? “Oh many! For the saris that I love to wear, I make two blouses — one backless and sexy, the other covered and traditional. But backless blouses are very me. I can’t wear covered-up dresses. I feel stifled in them!” What about that eye-catching tattoo on that eye-catching back? “The tattoo (three years old now) has a sun and some local signs of Thailand. It means power. A lot of men have complimented me saying that my back looks sexier because of the tattoo!” We agree!
Tips from Sreelekha on how to go backless in style:
Walk with confidence.
Wear the right innerwear. A peekaboo of your lingerie isn’t a great idea when you want to go backless.

Scrub your back during a bath!
Apply sunscreen if stepping out in the sun or an oil-free cream and some shimmer powder if you are going out in the evening.
Her latest backless buy?
A gown with a deep-cut back. It’s very elegant and sexy. I will wear it at one of the shows of Mirakkel (Zee Bangla).
Her favourite actress with a great back?
Sonakshi Sinha. Though she doesn’t have an hourglass figure, she carries off the backless blouses (Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore) quite elegantly.
